Here we are at the bottom of Halley's Comet--the major chair-lift to the ski-slopes of Falls Creek. Yes, Mike has lost weight since we've been in Australia, and no I haven't -- but I haven't gained any weight either, so there!

Mel and Mike at Halley's Comet Chair Lift

Here's Melissa on the Halley's Comet Chairlift en-route to Wombat's Ramble--the main beginner slope we tackled throughout our first day of skiing. Note that Mike took the photo and there is no thumbprint on it--good on ya, Mike!

Another beginner slope on which we spent a good deal of time is called Panorama (the view down the slope IS awesome). Here's Mike taking the fanny-lift (or whatever it's called) to the top of the Panorama slope. I'm right behind him, although I fell off of this thing twice throughout the course of the weekend! At least I provided some entertainment for the guy at the bottom running the lift--must be a very boring job, indeed!

And finally, here's a photo of the two of us on the slopes--this was actually taken on an intermediate slope called Mainstreet. We had to ski really slow to get into the photo together, and it doesn't really show the huge slope that lies beneath us...but hey, at least we finally got a photo of the TWO of us, you know!?

Dig those hip ski-suits, dudes! Are we cool or what! No one can call us an "old married couple"! Alright, well Mike looks cool enough--he rented his ski pants and used his own ski-jacket...I borrowed Mom B.'s--I think it's time for a new ski-suit, Mom!

But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right? And I was warm and dry, so lay off!
