Here are some pictures of our flat in Melbourne and a very small part of the city that surrounds us. They are gif files, so most of you should be able to read them; keep in mind that they were captured from video with free "Chipstv" software from Microsoft (i.e. don't expect much!!). Also, note that the times recorded on the video are U.S. times; Australia is 16 hours ahead of the times indicated (So the first picture (of our kitchen) was taken at 5:35 P.M. our time).
Our home in Melbourne is really a one-room flat. This is our kitchen. |
The bathroom is just opposite of the kitchen. No bathtub--bummer--but we do have a washer and dryer squeezed in beside the shower! |
This is the "main room" in our flat. The futon is both our couch and our bed.
We have a small balcony which overlooks Little Collins Street. It's not a bad view.
Here's the view outside our window...the ANZ bank actually makes a nice reflective backdrop, don't you think?
This is an image I painted on our linen closet when I was unemployed--how I miss those care-free days!!
