New Zealand Rafting

Below are some pics of Mel & Mike & Mom B rafting the Kaituna River (Grade 5+)

near Rotorua, on the North Island of New Zealand.

As these pictures may take a moment to download, we thought we'd take this time

to tell you what you are about to see. The pictures are in rapid sucession of us going

over a 7 meter waterfall (that's about 21 feet to you and me). All of this took about

2 seconds and, as you can see, Melissa and Mike were just holding on for dear life

(and getting mouthfuls of water). Mom B is the photogenic one (on the far left) -

she's the one who risked her life to pose for a good shot.

Good fun. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
