Hi, I am Svetlana Smith. My Russian friends and relatives call me Sveta, and my American friends call me Lana. I now live in USA, but I keep Crimea close to my heart, and I stay in touch with my friends in Yalta, Alushta, and Simferopol.

I have worked as a tour guide in the Crimea for 18 years, and it was pure joy. Eighty percent of the pictures you will see in this site were taken by me on my tours.

My best friend Olga and I have traveled miles and miles in the Crimea, exploring this unique place; it's history, nature and beauty.

We like meeting interesting people, and sharing our love of the Crimea with our friends and guests. Look at some of pictures of Olga, Lana and Lana's son Anthony in "Hiking/Mountains " page!

We would like to share our love of the Crimea with you.

Olga is our tour director. She graduated from Simferopol University as a biologist. Olga worked as a tour guide and tour director for many years, and now she is an owner of a tour company--providing service for Yalta and Alushta area. Her sister Tanya is also a very popular tour guide. Olga is the most caring, honest and responsible person I have ever known! She loves nature, adventure, history, and the arts. She met her  husband Ruslan on the same mountain passes that she enjoys.

RuslanRuslan did not graduate from any University. Mother Nature was his teacher. Since his childhood he learned everything about hunting, rock climbing, caving and many other exciting things. With his archaeologist friend he has found many ancient artifacts.

The Crimean Mountains are his life and love. His experience and sense of humor makes him an excellent storyteller and tour guide, with whom you are never bored.

Victoria is one of our interpreters.

She graduated from Simferopol University where she studied English.

An experienced hiker, Victoria led 10 day hiking trips into the Crimean mountains. She is very easy-going person. I was happy to be a part of her group several years ago.

Driver Lavrent.
"The guides and interpreters were very informative, friendly and helpful, and
allowed us the flexibility to make last minute changes in our schedule to
accommodate our interests.

Our driver was excellent--he was always prompt, considerate and safe, and contributed to the group in many ways."

(W. I. Hill, a member of an American Tour Group)

Our tour And now, last, but not least! is Olga's dog Sheila. She is not a part of our tour service, but we appreciated her company during our long mountain adventures. She vigilantly defended us against all visible and invisible enemies and her heart was very loving and kind.
