I joined a second Explore tour called "Hiking in Goreme Valley".

[Image] Cappadocia is a region with fairy chimneys and underground cities carved out of the tufa, a porous rock created by ashes from volcanic eruptions.
[Image] First hike in the Ihlara Valley, we are crossing the bridge to get to the open air restaurant.
[Image] This open air restaurant provided excellent food and refreshing beer by the river.
[Image] The Ihlara valley is a favourite spot for families to have picnics on Sundays.

[Image] White Valley: we can see the many geological layers, the terrain was eroded by a river.

[Image] St-Mary Church built in a hollowed-out fairy chimney.
[Image] We stayed at the Old Greek House Hotel in Mustafapasa. Greeks lived here but had to go back to Greece when Atatürk declared the Republic of Turkey.
