Train Ride to Akira, ride downhill? Into the wind and along shore to Hokitika

 To Hari Hari - flat roads, no traffic and a Gold town

The rain forest gives way to glaciers.To Franz Josef after a great hike and view

Jan 5

 Uphill to Fox Glacier in a drizzle, dazzling little waterfalls & hike on the Glacier

Jan 6

 Helicopter ride before leaving, then on to a COKE celebration after 72 miles to Haast

Jan 7

 New geological areas and a hot climb up Haast Pass, Jet Boats in Makarora

Jan 8

Windy day, "at our backs!" great blue lakes, Museums in Wanaka and our farmstay in Tarras

Jan 9

 No Ride today, but Bill goes Bungy Jumping! and we find our hotel and many adventures in Queenstown

 Plane trip, cruise to Milford Sound, Horseback riding and more hikes

Arrowtown, by the big fruit in Cromwell, with a big welcome at Oliver's in Clyde

Wind, crosswind, difficult, but lots of fun with Tex and the Jukebox in Beaumont

Lunch in the park, and on to shop in Dunedin. Muffin for my feast day! Dinner in a castle.

Finale ride with sheep, gardens, penguins, albatros and view after view.

The day that would not end- lived it twice - land back in LA after 14 hour flight.

Red eye back to Cleveland & then into work to collect $5 from Brian !
