Bush Walking – There are many walking tracks in the Queenstown area, each offering stunning views of the beautiful scenery. These range from walks of 1 hour to 4 day hikes. For the more adventurous - the Milford, Kepler and Routeburn tracks offer a more strenuous challenge.

Bungy-jumping – Feeling crazy ? Take the leap of your life from one of 5 Bungy-jumping spots. Heights range from 43m to 300m. Bungy jumping was pioneered in Queenstown and is very popular with visitors.

Skiing – In winter you could be on the ski slopes within 20 – 40 minutes as the property is well situated for quick access to Coronet Peak and the Remarkables ski fields.

White-water thrills – Experience the exhilaration of challenging the white water in Queenstown’s Shotover or Kawarau rivers, either by jet boating, white-water rafting or kayaking. For those who seek bigger thrills – try the "Awesome Foursome". This consists of a rollercoaster helicopter ride, white-water rafting, jet boating and a bungy jump.

View from above – For those wanting to get an unusual view of Queenstown, why not try Hang gliding, tandem hang gliding and skydiving. There are also numerous scenic flights by plane and helicopter from Queenstown airport, situated 10 minutes from the house.

Walter Peak – From the centre of town, board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw for a leisurely cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Sheep station.

Milford Sound – Take a day trip by car or bus to the beautiful Milford Sound, one of the wonders of the world. The journey takes you along the shores of Lake Wakatipu , through a number of rural towns to Te Anau situated on the shores of Lake Te Anau. Then onward through the Fiordland National park to Milford Sound where you board a large catamaran or sailing vessel for a 1 ½ to 2 hour trip on Milford Sound.

Scenic journeys – There are many car journeys that you can take from Queenstown taking you to places of interest and beauty. Visit the old gold mining town of Arrowtown with its historic buildings. Visit Wanaka with its Puzzle World or go further afield to Mt Cook and see the Tasman glacier. The west coast brings you to the Franz Joseph and Fox glaciers. 

Mountain biking – Queenstown and the surrounding area offer some of the most scenic and varied mountain biking terrain anywhere in the country. Tracks vary in difficulty, and there are trails to suit everyone from first timers to experts. 

Sunset - After an exhilarating day of sightseeing, touring or adventure, it is time to relax in the homely comfort of 99 Woodlands Close or go to one of the numerous local restaurants. Enjoy a delicious meal and glass of wine from Central Otago’s best vineyards, and plan the activities for the next day.
