Bunaken Marine Park, Manado, Indonesia - wif Diver's Den

Diving at Manado has alwaz been my dream ever since i went on da live aboard diving at Nusa Tenggara group of islands, eastern Indonesia, back in August, 1993... & the only thing i can say about da diving in Manado is... SUPERB!... never a single dive wif disappointment... :-)...

Day 1 - House Reef of Murex Resort

convenince, easy dives wif vaste interesting marine life says it all about da diving here, rite in front of Murex's main lobby... if ur a macro fan, this is definitely an excellent site that's worth going back times & times either for a day or nite dive!... i saw my first leaf scorpion fish there...

Day 2 - Bunaken Island

Bunaken is about 1 hour's boat ride from the jetty of Murex... Lekuan II & Lekuan III off Bunaken Island were da sites of da day... providing wall diving at this pristine blue water wif visibility of at least 150ft (45m)...

Day 3 - Manado Tua & Bunaken

Muka Gereja (Church Point I), Manado Tua & Fukui (Stingray) Point, Bunaken were sites of da day!...

Fukui point was an absolute enchantment, giant clams, soaring school of barracuda, unicorn fish, batfish, big-eyed jack & thousands of brilliantly coloured reef fishes cruising effortlessly posting for all da photographers... & the big beautiful napoleon wrasse is a particular favourite amongst divers... gee, how i wished i'm an underwater photographer at that moment...

da day ended wif another nite dive at da house reef... cuttlefish awaiting the arrival of divers, some giant nudibranch & basketstar just made another diving fantacy came true...

Day 4 - Manado Tua & Bunaken

Pungulingan, Manado Tua & Lekuan I, Bunaken round up this last day of diving...

Pungulingan gave me da spectacular close encounter wif a tiny ghostpipe seahorse, which is no bigger than my thumb... wonder how the divemaster actually spotted it, pretty impressive...

Lekuan I... think about it made me fly... :-)... well, all of us had such great time flying thru underwater, thanx to da extremely strong current...

Day 5 - Sight Seeing on da land!

afta all da fun under-H₂O... it's time to take a break while releasing all da accumulated nitrogen in da body b4 we can board da plane... & there we were at Mahawu, da bubbling sulphurous slopes of a dormant volcano... Tondano, da highland lake... & lake Lingnow, da hot spring lake... which was absolutely an eye-opener for most of us...

Day 6 - aik, last day oredi?

all good things must come to an end... wif the personal touch of Murex Reosrt, there ends our exotic holiday to this paradise...

...this was da photo taken b4 da departure... 16 of us in total, afta 6 days of fun & sun... waiting eagerly for da arrival of yet another diving holiday... :-)...
