HOW TO GET THERE
The state of Terengganu is well serviced by modern transport and you'll find a number of different ways to move in and around Terengganu in order to get to Pulau Tenggol.

Both national carriers, Malaysian Airline Systems and Pelangi Air offers regular daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu arriving at either Sultan Mahmud or Kerteh Airports. MAS also arrives from Singapore every Friday and Sunday, and Asia Pacific Airlines arrives daily from Langkawi and Johore Baru to Kuala Terengganu airport. Taxis are readily available at the airports for city transfers. From Kuala Lumpur airport or any other point of entry, it is advisable to get an early morning flight to Kuala Terengganu. It is about one and half hour drive to Dunguna. The transfer boat normally leaves at 09:30 am. Any change of schedule, please inform us of time of arrival. The more practical flight is to Kerteh airport which is half and hour drive to Dungun. Their early flight from Kuala Lumpur is at 06:20 am. BY BUS AND TAXI Kuala Terengganu is the main hub for express bus and coach travel in and out of the state. Long distance taxis are also readily available and can take passengers as far afield as Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Johore Bahru. All these coaches and taxis will pass through the main trank road to Kuala Terengganu via Dungun. |
