Finishing touches

Kitchen sink

As mentioned last November, the kitchen base cabinets arrived on the Saturday before we left for the islands on Monday. Most were installed, but the master bathroom sink and kitchen sink bases required extra work as both were double sinks and the dishwasher supply and drain further complicated the kitchen. Thus, one of the very first tasks was to install the kitchen sink so that Martha could cook in her new kitchen. The sink is a 7" deep stainless double bowl model with a Moen single-lever lift up faucet and a sprayer. There is a small crab pear tree in the front field just outside the window.

Dining room doors

After the bathroom and kitchen sinks were installed, we continued doing doors and windows. There were 31 windows that needed to be trimmed and 31 doors that needed to be sanded, stained, finished, put in place, and trimmed. The door on the right goes from the DR to the basement and the double doors on the left go into the china closet. The interior of the china closet has shelves in the back and wine glass racks on the sides.
