We originally envisioned a pantry with row upon row of shelves, but Martha thought that she wanted some drawers and found five drawer wire basket shelves that would fit under a counter. This, of course, required a counter, so Rick planed and glued up some of the pine, sanded, stained, finished, and installed it and several shelves above. Martha created a work of art by arranging the pottery that she had made in her youth at Little Deer Isle in Maine. Note that there is no door here (thankfully), so the pantry is visible from the kitchen.

We were busy buying furniture. This armoire came from a kit. It needed to be assembled, sanded, stained, and finished, but only cost $300 rather than about $1400. It went into the corner of our bedroom and holds the TV, VCR, and satelite box. After the satelite was hooked up, Rick had to go check all the circuits as it is distributed to six other rooms (offices, LR, kitchen, guest BR, and exercise area). As we were now committed (ie, the satelite dish had been moved!), the phone service was also moved. Three switch boxes had to be wired by Verizon to cover the 1000' underground line and then exterior boxes were intalled on both the house and garage. After that, Rick had to wire the interior jacks and check them all. As we have two lines, it was twice as complicated. The bed came from Gardner (MA). At this point, we moved in to the new house and got this view from our new bedroom.
