On 2 August, we put a second plate on the first layer and bolted plates to the steel I-beams. The resulting sill was deemed level and we put up most of the floor joists, leaving the stair openings for the next day. |
By late afternoon on the second day, the entire deck had been framed out with openings for the stairs wood hoist, and utilities. All joists had solid blocking in the middle of the span and along the the sides. |
