Vitória is very well located
in an easy accessible place, so it is very easy to get here.
No matter if you come by air, ground
or sea, you will always have plenty of options to come ... !

Coming from everywhere, except from
South America, you will probably need to take a flight either to Rio
de Janeiro or São Paulo (main Brazilian cities), and
then take a connecting flight to Vitória. No matter how distant
you come from and how many hours you spend in your first flight, you should
not spend more than one extra hour to flight from any one of these
cities to Vitória.
There's only one airport in Vitória
- Eurico Salles Airport, also known as "Aeroporto de Goiabeiras"
- but we are served by all the main Brazilian airlines.
For better planning your trip, please
take a look at VARIG
Airline site on the Web for a full schedule of flights arriving to Vitória
daily from all the main cities over the world.

There is one daily passenger train
from Belo Horizonte (MG) to Vitória and vice-versa. The train is
equiped with modern communication and security devices, however, the trip
is not quite fast as the locomotive does not come in a straight way to
Vitória.
There are three types of tickets:
first class, second class and executive class. Second class is for the
simplest (and cheapest) sit, and EXECUTIVE class (not first class!) is
the best. The train tickets are very cheap, so we recommend you to buy
an executive class ticket, specially because the carriages for this class
are the only ones with air conditioned...!
During the trip you can have your
meals in a restaurant car. The journey from BH to Vitória starts
at dawn and ends about three hours after sunset, so you can enjoy watching
the landscape under the daylight of a tropical sun.

Freeway BR-101 comes from Rio de
Janeiro (RJ), which is 521 km distant, and reaches Vitória from
the South, crossing the city and going to Salvador (BA) which is about
1200 km distant to the North. From West, you may come here by freeway BR-262,
which comes from Belo Horizonte (MG), located 524 km distant. If you come
from the south of the State, there is also the option of taking a scenic
bayside road called Rodovia do Sol, which will offers you miles
and miles of tropical beach landscapes.
Unfortunately, some freeways in Brazil
are not quite well maintained and signalized, so you should drive carefully
and allow extra time for your journey, specially if you come driving and
doesn't know the way.
