THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS

The enchanted Isles.- The ultimate destination of all travelers is the unique Galapagos Islands also know as "The Enchanted Isles". Located on the Equador line 1000 Kms off the Ecuadorian coastline, where the cold water currents of the Antarctic meet warm waters of the Pacific, these volcanic islands are entirely isolated with ecosystems of their own.

Millions of years of evolution have created some of nature´s most incredible creatures. In fact, one quarter of the marine life, two thirds of the resident birds, and the famous giiant Galapagos turtles are endemic to the archipelago. A mystical aura will surround you on an unforgetable shore walk where sea lions play llike puppies, Iguanas feed on sea vegetation underwater, penguins dart past in the shoreline waters, and an array of Tropic birds, Gulls and Boobies swoop and dive from the skies above.

Charles Darwin opened these gems to the world with his research of evolution. Today a variety of boats ranging from economic to luxury classes allow all types of travelers to enjoy the possibilities of walking thhrough a Frigatebird´s nestling grounds to snorkeling with sea lions and turtles - all with absolutely no fear of man!
