Lets talk about animals in poor health (read all before checking on these pets)
After reading many posts in the forums I have decided to make this a little project of mine. I am trying to research each of the possible abandoned animals out there since they could have been adopted again and now have good owners or they need to be put in the shelter. I will remove a pet from my list if I think that they have been adopted or are being taken care of by the same person often enough. I will be tracking them in a database so I can see trends. I will be updating the list as often as I can. NOTE it will take me a while to get this all organized so bear with me.

I think everyone joining FooPets needs to pretend that they are real and not just a play thing you can enjoy one and a great while.
I agree with this poster that maybe everyone should just NOT feed/water these possible abandoned pets so that they can go to the shelter and be adopted.
"FooAdmin has instituted the Samaritan for a reason. If abandoned pets are not fed on consecutive days, they WILL be brought to the shelter. I know it's going to be hard on everyone, but we need to let them go hungry for a couple for a while so Admins can see which ones are in critical need! I went straight to Kate regarding some concerns on this thread, and got that answer from her. Let's let Admin do their job. I'm only going to visit friends for play, unless I'm specifically asked to help out with care. I hope this will mean the end of uncaring owners who joined as a lark without thinking about the consequences." Note:I modified the post a little-JJP.

If you want to check in on these pets, I would suggest NOT doing anything except playing with them.
But if you just can't help yourself and feel the need to take care of these pets, make sure you check, if they have already been feed/watered by someone in the last 12 hours or sooner please do not feed them, also if their health/hunger is 50 or better please do not feed them. Feel free to play with them as much as you want if the pet will let you, since that does not hurt anyone and helps the animals.

Here is what one poster said that I agree with, (but until that day comes I hope that this project will help)
"why can't the developer just add "hungry pets" tab instead of going round in circles. We're all using FB, so it makes sense and will save time not to mention going from one site to the other just to check for hungry pups! I know quite a few people who just abandoned their pets due to this circuitous route."

Another poster started a topic about ASPC for FooPets.

Please note: These pups/kitties are not necessarily abandoned, their owners might be having computer issues, etc. Maybe like me, can only check once per night and only get to them at least every 24 hours. I do care for my pet and lots of others. Sometimes I almost feel guilty that other took care of my pet before I got to do it myself.

Here is one example: I would very much like to be removed from the "abandoned pets" area. I have never once abandoned my pet. I log on more than once a day and I'm not even getting a chance to feed my own dog. In several cases someone has been there just mere minutes before me. My link is /member/13899556. Another Example: This dog is not abandoned, it is a Facebook/Foopets glitch. It was reported last week, it is an unique problem. My M-n-M was adopted early on day 1; 1 month ago today. He has never been hungry or unhappy since. I appreciate your concern. RE:http://www.foopets.com/play#pet-4871909

Keeping these pets organized is kind of hard to do so if you find one that may be abandoned or need help please send a message and ask the owner before letting me know, and give them time to answer!
If you are an owner of a pet on my list please let me know and I will take you off my list as soon as I can!
If you know of someone that does not want to take care of their pet but are still online, please have them turn it back into the shelter!
