Petite, celibataire (Fr.) and svelte (?) twenty-something passionate about Classical music, Art and Travels.
Having trained in the classical piano, classical music seemed like a natural recourse to me. There's no "favourite" composer for me but if there's one composer I tend to favour on my CDs, then it must be Beethoven. Needless to say, his 5th & 9th Symphonies, Emperor Concerto and Moonlight Sonata have made it to my most-played list. Ah yes! How can I fail to mention Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor?! The list goes on ... Quite strangely, I like enough of Bartok's "Miraculous Mandarin" & Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" for their savage 'soundscapes'.
My liking for Art goes very much the same way as my taste in music. Like my favour in Beethoven, I like Impressionistic artists - Renoir and Monet. Lately however, Expressionistic and Modern art have become exceedingly appealing. Artists whom I admire of these genres are Marc Chagall, Roy Lichtenstein and Joan Miro amongst many.
I'm therefore a Contradiction. Beethoven-Bartok; Renoir-Picasso; 'Retrospectively Extrovert'.
Being a gregarious creature, travel offers a window to other cultures and a means of jolting out of comfort zones and status quo. I reminisce with nostalgia strolling in the English town of Windermere alongside green meadows dotted with yellow flowers, standing atop a broken part of the Great Wall at Simatai with the Wall perched on age-old mountains and the headiness of skydiving through air reaching terminal velocity ......
