Keilbasa Casserole


My mom used to make something similar to this and I LOVED it. The first time I made it for Dave he was ticked off because he thought I ruined a perfectly good piece of Keilbasa!! After one bite he was sold!

Ingredients

1 jar Prego (any flavor but not meat)
1 lb Beef Keilbasa
2 tsp garlic powder (or more to taste)
3 Cups cooked spiral noodles
2 Cups Mozzerella Cheese

How to

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut keilbasa into bite size pieces and brown them lightly in a skillet. Drain and place back into skillet. Add prego and garlic and cook on low heat to simmer down. In a large oven safe bowl combine the noodles and sauce mixture stirring well to make sure all the noodles are covered. If you get to where you have too many noodles give them to the dogs, it's fun watching Sadie scoot them across the floor with her nose. Add the cheese (2 cups may be too much for you or not enough, Dave and I like it with a lot of cheese, which is why I use the lowfat stuff!) and bake until the cheese is bubbly in the middle, normally about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven. Serve with garlic toast. This serves about 4 people or 2 and enough for lunch the next day! :-)
