Honor Web Artists!

Don't Be a Bandwidth Bandit .... Don't link directly to images on another person's server and force them to pay their ISP for your illicit bandwidth usage....And don't use the images of web artists without their permission. Just email them and ask....Many will be happy to comply as long as you respect their copyright and/or link to their web sites (but not directly to their images).

The sites below provide information on issues related to bandwidth, linking to images, and thievery. Some also include copyright and fair use guidance, legal help, graphics protection software information, hints for preparing graphics, and links to other pertinent sites. Many offer membership in web graphics or copyright organizations, as well as logo images you may post on your site in support of their principles. Such principles include the rights of graphic artists and web designers to ownership of their own work, and protection from theft, violation and excess traffic charges incurred as a result of Net users' unethically or illegally using their images.
