Mikey and Minay's Sixth Long Vacation Together

Mostly June, 1999

...this page written on Martha's Vineyard...Thursday, 6-17-99.

You would think Minay and I would be sick of being cooped up in a car together for a month at a time, but it hasn't worked out that way.
We took off again for the East Coast, to see my mom on Martha's Vineyard. As of this writing, we're still there. We've already had a tour of the Saturn plant [in Spring Hill, TN], been to the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania, taken a swing through Vermont and New Hampshire, worked our way down the coasts of Maine and Massachusetts, and ferried across to the island.
We escaped the high 90's of Texas, to trade it for 65 to 70 degree days here on the island. We left the dry Texas landscape [and were glad to hear about the tremendous amount of rain Houston received in our absence]. We traveled through numerous pockets of rain on our way across the country. In fact, it's drizzling outside the window as I write this off the coast of Massachusetts.
We'll do some other stuff as we head down the East Coast toward Carolina [on our way back home]. Come join us.
....and, more to come
