Biography:
My name is Richard F. Cooklish. I was married to Marie
for 38 years, we married on January 18, 1969, and she
passed away on July 13, 2007 from complications caused by cancer
and chemotherapy treatment.
I loved Marie very much and miss her.
We have two sons named Brian and Scott.
Other members of the family are a very talkable bird (Cockatiel)
named Ruby and a Golden Retriever dog we named Sofie.
We live in Wheatfield, New York which is between Niagara Falls
and Buffalo.

I am a college graduate and I work for the International Institute of Buffalo
as the Director of Finance.
I am a veteran of the US Air Force and was stationed in
London, England. I also visited France, Italy, Scotland and Germany.
I love to travel and visit places. I also sell postage stamps to collectors. While in
college I enjoyed karate and tennis. I have been to many of the states,
Canada and Europe. I also like reading business news and investing in
mutual funds and stocks. I enjoy jazz and soft rock music, both current
and oldies. Of course I enjoy surfing the internet.
I like football, baseball, basketball and hockey.
I am a romantic. I love watching fires in my fireplace, going to the ocean,
going for car rides and visiting lakes in the mountains. I aways like to
do things and go places. I can just jump into the car and take off.
My wife, Marie, was a graduate of John S. Burke High School in Goshen, NY and
attended Orange County Community College in Middletown, NY. Marie worked
as a Medical Billing Manager for IMMCO Diagnostics, Inc. in Amherst, NY.
Marie had worked in the medical field for over 15 years and had a total of
30 years of work experience. Marie loved to travel and was very fond of animals.
She had worked as an office manager and supervisor
for many medical and non medical firms as well as a medical biller.
My oldest son, Brian, graduated from college and is a computer engineer.
He graduated from SUNY College of Technology in Utica, NY.
Brian lives and works in Austin, Texas. Brian also graduated
from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY.
My younger son, Scott, graduated from Niagara County Community College and
Daemen College in Buffalo.
He has a degree in Radiology technology and a degree as a Physician Assistant (PA)
Scott was in the Air Force in Maine and California.
While in the reserves he was stationed at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base.
Scott also spent a few months in the
United Arab Emerites (U.A.E.). Scott currently lives and works in Charlotte,
North Carolina as a Physician Assistant in the field of Orthopedics.
Career:
I am an accountant. I attended the State University of New York at
Albany, Orange County Community College and Schenectady Community College.
I have worked in Not-For-Profit, Manufacturing and Real Estate
Development companies. I am a Board member of the Institute of Management
Accountants (Niagara Chapter) and am a past President. I am
also a member of the Air Force Association,the American Philatelic Society, the
American Legion and the National Association of Investors.
I have a BS degree in Accounting and I am a Notary Public. I was on
the Board of Directors of the Spina Bifida Association of Western New York.
I was a NY State Licensed Real Estate Salesperson and also
have been involved in local politics serving as a town
and county committeeman in Albany (NY) county. I have been a
Chief Accountant and Accounting Manager for a metal manufacturing
company and a Financial Director and Director of Accounting for
several Not-For-Profit organizations and a Controller for a Real Estate
Development company that owned industrial parks, built condos in
Vermont and owned property in Jamaica. Other previous jobs I had
were the Director of Accounting for the Girl Scout Council of
Buffalo & Erie County, Inc. and the VP of Finance of the YWCA of Niagara
in Lockport, NY.
Hobbies:
My hobbies include: stamps and coins for collectors, post cards and
pennants from places I have visited. I also enjoy reading and going to
the movies. I like to play chess and listen to music on CD's. I like
classic books, science fiction, horror, drama and historical novels.
I read a lot of magazines. I also like to take photographs and have
many from England, Europe and many parts of the USA and Canada.
Vacations:
My wife and I have vacationed in Hawaii, the Bahamas, Las Vegas,
Florida, Nova Scotia, Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod.

I also provide accounting, bookkeeping and consulting
to the small business person. I can provide the complete
set of books, provide financial advice, financial reports
