I suffer from Hepatitis C along with 5 million other Americans. I live in California. In my efforts to vote wisley this next election I have a few questions I'd like to ask you regarding Hepatitis C. What are your plans in
regards to medical research and public awareness of this silent killer?

Are you aware that over 2 million Veterans are infected with Hepatitis C? Most of them are Vietnam Vets. The DVA is doing nothing, or next to nothing, to help these vets. What are you planning to do to bring more money and aid to all veterans with sevice connected Hepatitis C?

The government has allocated over $1 Billion for AIDS research and only $34 million for HCV research in 1999, yet HCV is 4 times more prevelant than AIDS. For every person who dies from AIDS, 4 people die from HCV. Hepatitis C is also the leading cause for liver transplantation in the United States today. What do you intend to do about this Silent Epidemic?

As our new President, what are you going to do to help the 5 million Americans who suffer from HCV?

I would appreciate a response, as I run a support group and 2 websites regarding Hepatitis C and would like to be able to tell our community that we can count on you for support in this very serious matter.
