SHOT #17~Apr 20/21~I think we are going to have to start using the backs of my legs. The fronts are full of bruises. Some of them seem to take a long time to disappear. I took a darvocet and went to bed, but couldn't get to sleep for quite awhile. Woke up in a sweat but I did sleep all night! Felt kind of Blah most of the day. I did start getting another headache in the afternoon. Another Darvocet and a nap and it disappeared. I've been having a pain in my back on the left side, under my ribcage for the past couple of days. I'm not sure what it is so I will call the Dr tomorrow and see if he can figure it out.
SHOT #18~Apr 22/23~It's very strange. I feel fine! No real bad fatigue, no nausea, I ate good. Didn't even get a bad headache all day. I slept good and all through the night too. I wish this was the way I felt every day! Its really nice to have the day after feel like an almost 'normal' day! I even went to bed early and slept for 11 hours!!! That in itself is the most amazing thing. Maybe my body is finally getting used to the Intron. It would certainly make the next 6 weeks go much easier.
Being halfway through the first 3 months now, I truly feel that my sides haven't been so terribly bad. I think I have been very lucky and again, attribute it in part to all the water I drink. No matter what I am doing each day, there is a 16 oz. glass in my hand. Its pretty much the only thing I drink anymore. I do allow myself a glass or two of Non Alcoholic Wine now and then. The Dr. has no problems with that and its kind of nice once in a while.
I do find myself thinking more and more about that PCR we will be doing in June. My biggest fear is that there won't be any change, but I know I can't dwell on that now. I do know that I would prefer to be on the Infergen trials rather that attempt the combo treatment. I feel strongly that the Infergen is going to prove to be the way to combat this at a much higher response rate. This, of course, is only my opinion. I will be discussing it with my Dr, thats for sure!
SHOT #19~Apr 24~I think we have found the perfect spot for these shots! It seems the higher up on my thighs he injects me, the less bruising I have. Its strange how on some nights after the shot I can't sleep and other times I can't stay awake. The insomnia seems to come and go. I did sleep well once I finally went to sleep though. Its always a good night if I sleep straight through, even if I don't get alot of sleep!
