The Keauhou Shopping Center, complete with KTA market, Long's Drugs, Don Drysdale's, shops, eateries and post office is just a 3-minute walk. Beautiful Keauhou Bay is a short walk below (whales have been known to hang out around there!) A dive/snorkel cruise is available there as well. Kahalu'u State Park, the very best snorkeling beach on the Big Island, is just 1/2 mile away and Magic Sands (White Sands) Beach is just a short way farther North. A jogging/walking path just in front follows the coastline on Alii Drive. (Here and there you can even find fountains to cool down the runners!) And, of course, everywhere you find that warm Kona sun and the friendly "Aloha Spirit" the Big Island is so famous for!
