I, or David Kurti, was born in Rijeka (the hospital closest to Opatija) in 1977 andwork with computers as a hobby. Except computers, my great love is music. I've been playing tenor saxophone for 4 years now in the Lovran Wind Orchestra. Another big love is photography, which is my professional future (I hope so). I am a student of economy, third year of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economy at the Rijeka University.

Many are the things that bind me with Opatija; I live here, my friends and family are here. By the way, greets to all the kids in the R.K. Jeretov (ex Ljubomir Mrakovčić) elementary School and to the unbeatable Eugen Kumičić Gymnasium, which knows how to fill the days of a student, and make them interesting.

Special greets go to my former classroom mates of the B class. Under the command of prof. Željka Štefan, in the years 1991-1995 we have entered the schools hall of fame as legends. Every one of you has a place in my mind and heart.

Together forever (Opatija, May 1995)

The final greets go to the people that make my university life interesting. There is not enough place for all of them, but here are some of them: the Ariannas, Leo, Oggy, Boris, Tash, Zbash, and all the others...

By the way, the music that you heard (I hope), is like an anthem of Opatija, called Serenada Opatiji, a song that became famousin the version of the croatian performer Ivo Robić. Here you can hear it in samba version in a performance of the Lovran Wind Orchestra. The compression is rather big because of assigned server space (1 Mb total) and to spare your time. But believe, we sound much better live. It was no coincidence that we became the national champions for the years 1996 & 1997.
