NovaSoft Europe is part of a corporation with over 450 employees in the USA, the company has offices in Singapore, India and now the UK. I am responsible for opening the European operations, We have successfully under my leadership established our European headquarters. With a small team I have quite a substantial number of consultants working both in England and in Europe, Due to the small recession in the IT Industry together with a very strict hiring policy the task was made especially difficult. My main achievement in this first year has been to establish our different practices, such as the ERP Division, Client Server division, as well as streamlining the practice and contracting staff both Consultants and office based, I have also been the front man speaking to Chamber of Commerce Members, Invest in Britain Bureaux, Corporate Bankers, Leasing companies etc to get NovaSoft into a stable and trusted position, The task of credit was especially difficult in the early stages as NovaSoft did no have any Credit history in the UK.

Achievements:
I was only in this position for 6 months before being headhunted to join NovaSoft, I placed a number of consultants and had over 30 candidates on interview when I left the company. I also placed 2 consultants on my last day. I successfully created a database of over 100 Baan Customers and managed to create a good rapport with the major conusltancies as well as motivating and setting targets for me and the team.

Taking calls from both customers and engineers, logging calls for customers and then passing it on, making sure that an engineer attends the call, ordering and arranging shipments of parts, On the Toshiba Laptop support desk, (World-wide) troubleshooting and giving first line support, deciding if it is a Hardware or Software problem and either try to phone fix or arrange for the laptops to be collected for repair. Before leaving for Merchants this was my main employment and I was employed full time as a trainer, instructing the new staff on the use of the SRMS system and giving constant Telephone Technique training and assessments.
