The next day, they toured Intramuros, the old Spanish walled city.  They braved a tropical rainstorm at Fort Santiago and visited the 16th Century San Agustin Cathedral.

Even though Al and Minda had not been to Manila in many years, many things still looked familiar.  On the day they toured Intramuros, they dined with Olive and Denny at the trendy Illustrado Café.  Besides the wonderful traditional Philippine dishes served there, the Old Manila atmosphere is very appealing with all its antiques, paintings, posters and other memorabilia.  Denny photographed this statue of San Miguel and a Miss Philippines cigar poster.

Al and Minda were able to visit a beach resort at Puerto Galera on the island of Mindoro for three days.  Olive and Maya accompanied them.  Unfortunately, Denny had to work.  Since Denny was not along with his digital camera, we just have this one photo of Al and Minda frolicking on Sabang Beach in the morning.  When he wasn't showing off his physique, Al was able to get in two scuba dives.
