I guess it was my sister Christy's 40th birthday when I first attempted to do something with computer graphics.  I wanted to make the point that 40 was not worth "getting bent out of shape" about.  The whole family did our best "40" in front of a video camera and then I digitized the results into the birthday card that you see on the left.

On the occasion of Dad's 75th birthday, I made a card to make the point that he was the only thing hotter than all the candles blazing on his birthday cake.  The year before, we had given Dad some dumbbells for his birthday to help him recover from the stroke and heart attack he had earlier that year.  He was pretty serious about "pumping iron" and made a near complete recovery.  As you can see from the photo, the results were dramatic.

Maya had to make a poster for her school about "my country" and she asked me to help her find some pictures of American things on the computer.  She also had to wear American dress and sing an American song.  Olive found  her  red, white and blue stars and stripes attire, she sang a very rousing "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy" and she made a poster which had the picture on the left pasted in the middle.

We wanted to have a special card for "The Year of the Tiger."  Our '98 card features a mythical clear blue Philippine sky and a beautiful Bengali tiger who we have only met in cyberspace.
