Maria was the first to see the possibilities in her boss's computer graphics madness.  "I want the body of Sharon Stone" was her simple request.  Sweet Maria hardly seemed like the homicidal character in "Basic Instinct", but when I responded with the photo on the left, the entire office got excited.  At last, all their fantasies could be realized.  What started out as a simple joke, turned into a major project - the 1998 FCS/ADB Real Persona Calendar.  I did twelve images, two of each of my office staff.  I conceived the images and worked late into the midnight hours doing the work, but they provided the inspiration.

Cecile, our hopeless romantic, dreamed of being Scarlet O'Hara.  This strong willful character is certainly an aspect of the Cecile that we know.  In fact, when many people see the photo on the right, they ask her where she got the dress.  It really looks too much like her.  Not sure if that means I did a good job or failed to take full advantage of the medium.

Tino, my driver, saw this computer graphic stuff as a way to recapture his fleeting youth.  "Yes," I explained, "I can make you 40 pounds thinner and give you a full head of hair."  Tino was already thinking of an old pen pal overseas who he needed to send a picture.  I retrofitted him with a 1950's Elvis body and a new hairstyle.

Our newest and youngest employee, Stacy, had just arrived in Manila from Washington.  She was not quite sure what to make of all this nonsense.  I made the photo on the right to capture the essence of Stacy's introduction into our office's work style.  She was a great sport and learned to play along in no time at all.

Rose never suggested what she would like to be.  Sitting so innocently and quietly at her desk, however, it was clear to me that she was our little angel.  Rose is quite a spiritual person, so the picture on the left where Rose is a Renaissance angel felt right from the beginning.  Her mother who is apparently very religious was thrilled with this picture.

A lifelong China hand and a ruthless dictator in the office --      my persona was almost too easy.  Here I am leading the masses to even higher levels of nonsense.
