How to get a job on a cruise ship - Free information on how to get a cruise ship job from someone who has worked on board cruise ships for 7 years.
Have you ever wanted to get a job on a cruise ship? Sail off to exotic destinations, travel the world and get paid for it? Then a cruise ship job could be for you! The cruise lines are recruiting all the time for cruise ship jobs as new cruise ships are being launched every year - and they are getting bigger and bigger. The current largest cruise ship in the world is the soon to be launched Oasis of the Seas for Royal Caribbean International, and has some 2000 crew and staff and 5000 passengers! She even has an Ice Skating rink, a rock climbing wall and you can even surf on board too (in water, not on the net, although you can do that too!) Crew leave all the time as their contracts come to an end and they go on vacation - or holiday as we like to say in the UK - and these vacant positions need filling. So is a cruise ship job for you? Well first and foremost IT IS HARD WORK. Once again IT IS HARD WORK. Did I mention it is hard work? Expect long days, small accommodation, months away from your family, lots of rules and regulations to adhere too and the chance of sea sicknesses! However - a cruise ship job at sea is very rewarding, you get to visit countries and places you would never visit in your own lifetime, and make some incredible friends from all over the world - it is an amazing experience! But it is hard work - have I said that already? You will need to be very flexible, tolerant and easy-going to work on a cruise ship - there are lots of rules to follow, you never get a weekend, you may have to work 14 hours a day, your cabin mate will more than likely be from another country and you may have to share your bathroom with the neighbours! Having said that, I LOVED WORKING ON A CRUISE SHIP and if you have the right skills then give it a go - even for just one contract! On this site IS ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED.
