Just as we were wondering what to do next, grandma came up with a solution. The hospital called us and grandma passed away yesterday afternoon.
But that still leaves us with only a day and a half to arrange for a funeral. Impossible, you say? There is no such word in my grandma's vocabulary and your presence here today proves that.
She was a strong and determined lady who embraced each challenge with a force all her own. She fought death many times during the past weeks because she wanted to leave on her own schedule and on her own terms. And that was exactly what she did.
