As Everyone knows the MK is the main park, these are the finest hotels in the the kingdom.

This hotel feels like a big city, which most people come to get away from.

-On the monerail line
-Fairly easy to book
-Disney movies shown nightly

-Loud, big city feel

Grade:B. Convenient and lively. Maybe a little to lively

When you check in you'll feel like you are staying at an island village.

Welcome to the down home resort, just made in 1994.

Pluses:
-Brand new and looks it
-Close access to River Country
-Child Care
-Very small, only 760 rooms.

Minuses:
-$155-205 a night
-Only MK resort without monerail access
-Rooms only sleep four

Grade:B-. An OK resort if you like the Wilderness.
V:$175-290 R:$195-315 P:$210-330


In the midst of these five beautiful hotels, you'll find easy access to EPCOT.

The Disney Swan and Dolphin(NOTE: This Hotel is not one of disneys registered hotels, thus we do not have an image for it)
You could call this hotel the black sheep of he disney resorts. This hotel is more like a convention resort.

Pluses:
-Great on site child care
-Epcot is a stroll away
-Great if the company is paying

Minuses:
-More for adults than children
-Not much fun
-Maybe a little to big

Grade:C. Great if the boss gets the bill.

In the middle of these two grand hotels, you'll find a waterpark that is an attraction in it's own right.

-Next to Epcot

Minuses:
-Little pricey

Grade:A. These hotels enjoy a large repeat value from families. These hotels are great, period.

The Boardwalk
The Boardwalk consists of 378 suites and 517 vacation villas
Pluses:
-Just a short walk to Epcot and a boatride away from MGM.
-With the boardwalk right there you'll always have something to do
-Nice pool, tennis courts.

Minuses:
-A bit pricey Grade:B, You get your moneys worth with this one.

Budget Hotels


In these hotels you'll find all the glamour for not quite the buck!


In these sister hotels, you'll find the charm of the Ol'south, and the jazz of the New Orleans!

-Great water areas
-Marinas
-Steamboat that goes to Marketplace
-More food choices that disney's first budget Caribbean

Minuses:
-No child care
-You are dependant among buses.

Grade: A+ You get good value for the money.

Cornado Springs Resort
The newest of Disney's resorts. Opened in 1997.

Pluses:
-Nearly 2,000 rooms, it's nearly as big as Dixie Landings
-Food Court
-15 acre lake
-Great pool area featuring a pyramid and dig site
-As with all of these four, you can't beat the price for what you get.

Minuses:
-As with all the budget hotels the only way you're getting somewhere without you car is a bus.
-A bit far away from everything, your closest thing is the AK, which is great if you like to go there though.
Grade:B+, this hotel is gaining popularity, and the sky is the limit.

In this 2,112 room giant you'll see the carribbean like never before!

Pluses:
-the price is right
-playground
-Water sports
-This is one of the best places to rent bikes
-Inexpensive food

Minuses:
-Too big
-Only one food place
-No child care

Grade:B- Solid value for the money

In these newly hotels, you'll find that life can be BIG, also a new ALL-STAR resort is planed to be opened in 1999.

Pluses:
-COST
-Good transportation
-Proximity to blizzard beach
-Good food court

Minuses:
-Food and sports options are limited
-Rooms very small

Grade:A Lots of bang for the buck.
V:$74 R:$84 P:$89

(Formally known as Vacation Club, now known as Old Key West)
This is not a Budget, it is a vacation club hotel.

Pluses:
-Great room to spread out
-Prices run good, compared to others

Minuses:
-Still much pricier than off-site villas
-Quiet
-No child care

Grade:B Big, but a little to quiet
Prices not available because of "time shares"

Shades of Green
Shades of a Green A WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort is an Armed Forces Recreation Center located on WDW property. Originally owned by WDW and called 'The Disney Inn', the resort was leased by the Department of Defense (DoD) February 1994, and renamed 'Shades of Green'. Shades of Green is totally self-supporting and fully operated with nonappropriated funds. Only Government workers and their family can stay at this resort. this is where I as well as my family is staying this year.

Pluses:
-A quiet resort with all the Disney offers and such things
-A beautiful landscape and pool with two golf courses around you
-Only a 15 minute walk to Polynesian and the monerail.
-Larger rooms and a VCR too.

Minuses:
-Without your car you might be in trouble, you must take the bus to the TTC to catch buses anywhere in Disney
-The only parks you can directly to are Blizzard Beach and Animal Kingdom
-Very, Very hard to get reservations, call EARLY. We called a year early and just got the last room for 10 days.
Grade:If your a Gvmt worker and got reservations, you made out becuase you can't score much better of a deal.
