ENGLAND HOLIDAY
PHOTO'S
This was the view I got on the way to visit
my very first castle...and Dunster Castle was all I thought it should be...beautiful
This is the view from the back terrace of
the castle, takes your breath away doesn't it!
Ahhhh...Clovelly now if there was a place I wanted to
stay a lot longer it was there, a beautiful fishing village that you had
to walk down the cobblestone walk because they were so narrow and steep
no vehicle could manevour them, there's a great pub there too, grinning
This is a great pic showing how narrow the cobblestone
walkway really is, but doesn't do the steepness of the climb the justice
it deserves, big smile
Lymouth...makes my mouth water thinking about the best
clotted cream on strawberries I've ever tasted...mmm mmm mmmmm!
Tintagel on the southwest coast of England, legend has
it the ruins you see on the cliffs are those of King Arthur's Camelot,
and the place does have a mystical feel to it...I kept watching for the
Knights of the Round Table to appear...or maybe even Merlin
Another angle of the ruins on the cliffs, I wanted to
get closer but there was a very heavy gale that day an I almost got blown
off the edge, sheepish grin...I was too ancious to see all I could in the
pouring rain, funny I didn't even notice it raining cats and dogs, grinning
Stonehenge, what more can I say...so beautiful and so
full of ancient history
Stonehenge from a different side notice the fallen monument
stones, I still would love to go back there again, and I know I will!
My first look at BIG BEN!!! I played the typical
tourist and had to take the pic...but I went for a different angle...grinning
See I was the typical tourist...don't it make you want
to sing...London Bridges falling down, falling down, falling down, London
Bridges falling down, my fair lady O!!! Giggling, but you know what...I
didn't take a pic of Buckingham Palace, the Queen wasn't there she was
out buying horses in Kentucky so I thought I would wait till she came home
and the next time I went to London town...big smile
A very special friend sent me this picture of Lord Mountbatten's funeral and I thought this page was fitting for it....part of England's history
