Landscape Arch
Landscape Arch

The more than 2,000 cataloged arches range in size from a tree-foot opening, the minimum considered an arch, to the longest one, Landscape Arch, which measures 306 feet base to base.
In 1991 a slab of rock about 60 feet long, 11 feet wide and 4 feet thick fell from the underside of Landscape Arch, leaving behind an even thinner ribbon of rock.
September 11, 1998.
