4 tbsp. butter 2 eggs 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup milk Powdered sugar, to be put on after cooking. (to taste.)Sierra's Comment: This was a wonderful, yummy pancake - almost tasted like a waffle. I put some cherry preserves on top too. Mmmm.1. Preheat Oven to 425 degrees 2. Melt the butter in a LARGE frying pan. 3. Mix the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. 4. Pour the mixture of eggs, flour, and milk into the melted butter, but DO NOT MIX. 5. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
MAKES ONE LARGE!!!PANCAKE, Enough for two people, but if you're REALLY hungry you can finish it yourself. It tastes better if you sprinkle on powdered sugar.
1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon (this is Sierra's addition) 1/2 c butter 1 T. light corn syrup 1 apple peeled and THINLY sliced 4 thick slice of French bread about 3/4 inch thick 3 eggs 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. half-n-half 1/2 t. vanillaIn saucepan combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup; cook over medium heat, stirring fequently until mixture starts to bubble. Remove from heat and pour into a 13x9" glass baking dish - spread evenly. Place sliced apples over syrup mixture, single layer. Place bread slices on top of apples. In medium bowl whisk or beat together eggs, milk, half-and-half, and vanilla. Pour or spoon mixture over bread turning to evenly soak into bread. Cover and refrigerate over night.
Next morning: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until browned. Serve with maple syrup. ENJOY. Recipe serves 2 people.
