I spent the day Friday at my office in New York City. I must say that it was very difficult to concentrate at work......I was about to embark on what I suspected would be a "fantastic voyage". I somehow managed to make it through the day, wrap up all of the loose ends at work, change the voicemail and head for the airport - All on 3 hours of sleep.
I was scheduled to leave from Newark International Airport -- booked on Virgin Atlantic Airlines Flight 2 to London's Heathrow Airport. The flight was scheduled to leave at 21:20 and was delayed until 23:30. I spent some time in the airport lounge (thanks to being a Diners Club Int'l Cardholder!) and was thrilled to be finally be on the way to London shortly before midnight.
