Over New Year's (more or less, I guess), the clan went to Laughlin, Nevada. Laughlin is for people who want serious gambling instead of all the glitz and pseudo-glamour of Las Vegas. At least, that's my understanding of it. I don't really know too much about the trip. They told me they were going, I forgot about it, and then surprised me when they said they were back ("you were gone?"). Anyway, here are some pictures that come out of that grand adventure, thanks to Grandpa's new digital camera.
- Frank, the pilot getting ready to depart
- Grandma and Grandpa, abusing the machines
- Grandpa is psyching out this poor machine
- The happy couplestanding by the casino Christmas tree
- Mom said she won a bunch of quarters (was it 777?). She's smiling so maybe this was after that.
- Speaking of smiling... someone's going to have to explain this one to me (aptly titled showgirl)
There's more to do than just gamble, though. I guess Laughlin's okay on the outside, too.
- Grandma and Joanna are improving the river view
- Grandma's sitting next to a huge planter
- Joanna is holding up a palm tree (or vice versa?)
- And of course, the Laughlin skyline; interesting reflection on the window
