Okay, I think this page is ready to go. There are two parts to this, the written story and the photographic essay. The written story isn't quite ready, but it should be soon since it's just a matter of changing it into an html file. The pictures part is the hard part, and that's done, and I think it's quite lovely, if I say so myself. For now, here's how to get around:

You have two choices!
1. You can read the timeline below that's brief but gives a good enough description of what we did.
2. The long summary: This is a blow-by-blow description of what we did, where we did it, and when we did it.
Howdy. We got back recently from a nice week and a half tour of the Pacific Northwest U.S. We took a flight up to Seattle, spent 3-4 days there (including a day in Victoria, B.C., Canada to see the Butchart Gardens), and then rented a car to drive all the way back to Los Angeles catching scenic things along the way. Here's a brief timeline/description of what we did:
- Mo June 7 --Flew into Seattle, took a 3.5 hour city tour
- Tu June 8 --Took a ferry to Victoria, toured Butchart Gardens
- We June 9 --Underground Tour of Seattle, Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is)
- Th June 10--Got rental car, hiked around Snoqualmie Falls, drove through Mt. Rainier State Park, Mt. St. Helens
- Fr June 11--Oregon Dunes, Oregon coastline
- Sa June 12--Oregon Caves, Mill Creek Falls near Prospect, OR
- Su June 13--Crater Lake; Mexican food in Redding, CA
- Mo June 14--Lassen Volcanic Park, Lava Beds
- Tu June 15--Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, got home at 6:45 pm
You know, I'm not 100% positive that's in the right order, but it's close enough for now.
We logged 2002 miles from Seattle to L.A., and added another 250 or so on the round trip to San Diego to pick up the dog.
Here's a teaser picture:
