We decided to do Future World at Epcot today. Our first ride was on Spaceship Earth. (The big ball!) It was so beautiful. It's about communications and how it progressed through time. The ride goes to the top of the ball and comes back down. It is a slow moving ride, so anyone can go on it. It is well worth it. Then we headed over to the Universe of Energy. That was o.k.. Then it was off to Wonders of Life. We went in to see Body Wars. It was a good ride. Then we just played around in there for about a 1/2 hour. We also saw Goofy. The water fountain in the middle of the park was gorgeous. It shot streams of water up in the air to the music that was playing outside.
We then went to Journey of Imagination. I had been dying to go there. Jen and I were kind of snapping at each other at this point because we were so hot and cranky. We were also, getting kind of hungry but we didn't know what to eat. We were sick of hamburgers and fries. We saw "Honey, I shrunk the audience." That was great. It felt like we were really shrunk. The 3D was pretty good, also. The part about the mice freaked me out. My friend, Jen, put her feet up on the chair in front of us and grabbed on to me and the old guy sitting on the other side of her. It was hilarious.
After lunch, we saw the ride, "Journey into Imagination" with Figment. That was cute. We also saw the "Living Seas." I was expecting more than what was there, but I still liked it. We actually saw a mantatee for the first time! They are pretty big animals. We were pretty pooped by now and it was only 3 p.m.
We've had enough at Epcot and went to MGM. We got there and got our pictures with Pluto. Then we went to get a program so we could figure out the park and what to do first. We noticed that there was a Beauty and the Beast show about to start, so we booked it and ran until we got there. You should have seen us. We didn't know where the hell we were going but we were trying to get there fast. Needless to say, we made it just before they came on stage. It was such a pretty show. I love BatB. It is one of my favorite movies. It was an excellent show. Then we went to see "The Voyage of the Little Mermaid." This was really well done. Everytime it rained on the stage, the auditorium would fill with mist and smoke. I loved this show, too. We couldn't decide what to eat, so we just headed for the hotel.
At the hotel food court, we found a place that sells home-cooked type meals. It was very good. I got a steak with mashed potatoes, bread and corn on the cob for just $11.00. Then we went back to our room and tried to fit all the stuff we bought in our suitcases. When we got to the room, our stuff from Epcot was on our beds. So we had to look at that before packing it. Let me tell you, this was a challenge. Jen ended up going to the front desk to ship some stuff home overnight. I ended up breaking a tip on my castle that the lady took so long to find for me, just so I could fit it in my luggage. Our suitcases were buldging.
WEATHER: Humid, hot and sticky.
CROWD: Moderate.
