Richard Howard of Edgefield District, SC

"Anyway, I believe Hardy's and Michael's father to be Richard Howard.  He
received his land from a land grant in 1785.  That is all I know.  I don't
actually have a copy of that land grant and don't know where he was at the
time he received it.  He was listed in the 1790 census records as being right
beside William Watson.

John Gossett, who was right beside Richard Howard, Jr. in 1800 in Edgefield
witnessed a many land deeds for Michael Howard.   I don't know whether Richard
Howard, Jr. or Senior is Michael's father.   There is no will, therefore all
of this is just assumption on my part.

Michael's land record in Houston County between Hardy Howard was witnessed by
a William Howard and Lake Watson.  I believe Lake to be Milly's brother
(Hardy's wife), though where he went to  I do not know."
