The Prospect Lighthouse located in Vancouver's Stanley Park, just a short distance west of the Lion's Gate Bridge. It is one of two lighthouse in the Park. The other one is the Brockton Point Lighthouse about 2.5 kilometers away. This one, though, unlike the Brockton Point Lighthouse requires at least a short walk.
The nearest approach to the lighthouse can be obtained by parking near the Lion's Gate Bridge and walking west along the seawall. A more pleasant visit is to walk along the seawall either east from Third Beach, or west from Brockton Point. Each of those walks offer other interesting sights. Both walks are about five kilometers return.
If you don't mind heights and the vibration caused by a continuous flow of traffic, walk onto the Lions Gate Bridge for an aerial view of the lighthouse.
