Channel-Port aux Basques Lighthouse, August, 1998
The Channel-Port aux Basques Lighthouse is a circular iron tower built in 1875. Today, it is the first lighthouse seen by visitors entering Newfoundland by ferry from Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques.
I saw and photographed this lighthouse from the ferry during our visit in 1998, but there was not enough time to actually visit it.
