Wood Islands Lighthouse, July, 1998
The Wood Islands Lighthouse was established in 1876.
This lighthouse and the two harbour lights are the first one seen by visitors to Prince Edward Island by ferry from Nova Scotia. It make an impressive sight, especially in the evening light.
Unfortunately for me, when we visited Prince Edward Island during the summer of 1998, we were in a rush to see a performance of Anne of Green Gables in Charlottetown. I didn't have time to stop. I had hoped to get back on one of my early morning outings, but never did. On my next trip to PEI, this will be my first stop.
