Souris Lighthouse, July, 1998
The Souris Lighthouse was established in 1880.
This lighthouse has served the fishing community and ferry traffic to many off island points since it was built. The fishing traffics is much less now than in days gone by, but the lighthouse can still be viewed by passengers taking the ferry from Prince Edward Island to the Magdalene Islands in Quebec.
I visited this lighthouse only for a few minutes in the summer of 1998, on the way to East Point.
