North Rustico Lighthouse, July, 1998
The North Rustico Lighthouse was established in 1876.
North Rustico is near Cavendish, which is the home of Anne of Green Gables and one of the most popular beaches in Canada. But neither of those attractions can compare to this lighthouse.
The lighthouse sits on the edge of town nearly surrounded by other buildings. It appears to be one of the most well kept of the buildings I visited in the summer of 1998. The proximity of the other buildings made the lighthouse difficult to photograph, but I did manage to get a few, including the close-up shown here, and a number of views from the beach near the light.
