Cagayan de Oro City is located on the northern shores of Mindanao, the Philippines' exotic southern island. It is the regional growth center of Region 10, the business, trade and service center of the Cagayan-Iligan Corridor and home to nearly half-a-million people. The city is endowed by nature with a pleasant climate all year round. It also gets its share of seasonal rains, but it has not been ravaged by the violence of a typhoon and has no record of destructive flood.
