Our Department is Ten Year Old

The scene of the 10th Anniversary Festive Assembly is at the House of the Hungarian Stamp Collectors (Budapest VI. Vörösmarty u. 65.) time:  

on Saturday 11th March 2001. 10:00.

 

The Hungarian Revenue Stamp Collectors Department in MABÉOSZ has arrived to a modest but excellent station. It was founded 10 Years before by a handful of enthusiastic philatelist. They have been felt it is time to raise in Hungary the collection of the beautiful, interesting and valuable revenue stamps.  These is one of the forgotten area of the philately what have century old tradition but it was be thrust into the background for long times.

 

It gave a considerable push the publication - with the generosity sponsoring Mr. Gary Ryan - of the Handbook of the Hungarian Revenues by Istvan Floderer in 1991.  After that results of Hungarian and other exhibitors on high ranked exhibitions have verified the philatelic value of these area. This time is flowing a deep work – unfortunately a little late from the original deadline – for the revised and enlarge edition of the new Handbook of the Hungarian Revenues.
