  This page shows ten of my pictures of New York. These pictures were taken in March 1997 when my wife an me were for a week of vacation in the big apple.

 All photos are taken by me. I used a Nikon F50 with a 35-70 3.3 AF and a 80-200 4.5 AFD lens to take these pictures.

Statue of liberty (crown)

The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frederick Bartholdi. The seven beams on the crown symbolize the seven seas and continents.
We visited the statue on the second day. As you see the sun was shining but we were freezing. From Liberty Island you have a the most spectacular view on downtown Manhattan.
