Berkowitz: In Memoriam
He was a great thief, a fine fighter.
We tried to make his burden lighter:
When we met him, he'd been killing
Wantonly, frustration led him to spilling
Blood throughout the streets of Galadon.
To Battlefield we took him, and led him on
A merry chase against large guards and feared
Swordsmen. Chaotic and weird,
He seemed to me
To be of Entropy,
But at the last, it is said,
When he knew he'd soon be final dead
He yelled he was Shadow, and spilled
More blood, added to his list of people killed...
I remember, sometime ago, he did not tarry
But took a most beautiful and loved woman to marry
Who could have had anyone but chose Berkowitz,
Having seen something in him that others had missed.
The question his friends ask is, What's in a name?
Berkowitz surely had no cause for shame.
He's gone. Some will mourn, some have joyful fits,
But none who knew him will forget the name Berkowitz.
