Final Death? You Can't Get Rid of Me That Easily!
I've lived my life full and it's been fun,
But much of my work is yet undone.
Unlike my guild-brother, Pippin, I
Will not ask the gods to me death deny:
I expect no mercy from them
After all the hell and mayhem.
One Immortal gave us a blessing of life
After death: My husband shall again find his wife,
For as I have said, time after time,
It'll take more than death to silence my rhyme:
For when I've died, and when I'm gone,
I'll be reborn in this world to carry on.
And I will find him, or he will find me:
Final Death? You can't get rid of me that easily!
The spirit still stands while the flesh does fall,
And love is the mightiest weapon of all.
Esarvee the Bard, 40th Rank Musician
Age 218 years
[Historical Note: This song was posted accidently ahead of its time. A bug in the game was causing people to ghost early. Esarvee was one of those who dropped a corpse, was said to be ghosting, but actually was not going through final death. During what was known thereafter as the Dress Rehearsal, Esarvee posted this song and an explanation of what had happened during the Dress Rehearsal (the race to find Poetry's shrine, Zauephuaes, Lord of the Grave's death ritual, the final good-byes which in fact were final for some who were present as they died not long afterward...). Thereafter, people accused her of being dead when in fact she was not. From this time on, she referred to herself as Esarvee, the Undead Bard, or Esarvee, the Undead Master Poet (41st Rank Musician), and most of her posted songs in this later part of her life were somewhat morbid and definitely evil-bent.]
