Grover's Alpha World Page

Grover's House:

sure, it looks perty now, but if you remember back to october, it was kinda nasty! I first claimed this property way back in August after the first comet hit and wiped out the original buildings. Later, after the second comet, I rebuilt the existing walls over the foundation of the earlier house... Now it's beta.41 enhanced!
Well, i have to ramble on for a few more lines or else it'll look kinda bad...

Lock Haven:

Yeah, yer pal grover donned his mayor garb, and together with G&G Enterprises is building the new town, Lock Haven. Slated for completion before January 1996, Lock Haven will be a free community with lax zoning laws comperable to the free-zone surrounding Ground Zero, but structured enough to ensure everyone gets a change to build near the Teleportaion point. Due to the recent release of teleportation, Lock Haven is now open for business! Use the teleport gate in the SouthEast concourse of grand central teleport and build, build, build!
Contact Mayor McCheese for more immigration information.

Beginner's Maze:

That vacant lot less than 200 meters from ground zero has finally been dozed over and a human-sized maze erected. It's been advertised as "The only thing to 'do' on Alpha" but the ads have recently been pulled, pending several lawsuits... Nevertheless, the wary visitor can get thouroghly lost for a reasonable cost, then lounge out in the observation tower at the center of the maze.

The entrance to the maze is located at 18N,15E. The management asks you to kindly refrain from flying or using 3rd person view, since knowing were you are ruins the fun. Chess piece guides have been provided at several points to help confused puzzlers find their way.

And our special opening offer: The I can drop more acid that Timothy Leary Contest! Free hard drugs for the first 100 patrons!

Fine Print: The whole buisiness/special offer concepts a joke, you crazy legal bastards! Freedom of speech? Ever heard of it??

Hanging Gardens:

Yes, the first project i built after the first comet, and was The Oldest existing structure on Alpha World (yes, even the very ground.rwx's been changed!) until the middle of January, 1996, when if was buldozed over to make way for a bigger ground zero :-( Look at the "GROVERtm" gif at the top, taken before the second comet struck. The ground's a plain green 200g octagon) This includes all the rudimentary pieces availible at the time and tries to mirror a [much better looking] hanging garden destroyed by the first comet.

Grover's Castle

After I finished my house and the brook beside it, i wanted a challenge. So i built myself this multi-moated castle. Althought there are many man-eating fish in the outer moat, the inner displays a plethora of colorful fish and coral in a saltwater enviroment, complete with a year-round heating system and wave generator.

Water World

Water World is my largest triumph- a resevoir so massive that no one dare even try to surpass it in size. (Worked for about 2 months) Nearly 1/2km on each side, this large tub 'o water has long been an eyesore, but steps are being planned to make it more organic in feel.
The only residence on Water World is the small hut on Gilligan's Island
